Recreating the United States Currency

As a child I always wanted to see an African American on the United States Currency. That still hasn't happened (yet), so I figured I would give the US a head start. In my research I found that although there have never been African American faces on the US Currency there have been men and women to serve in the positions of the Secretary of State, as well as the Treasurer of the United States and therefore have signed a few series, if you don't believe me check it out.

Some people may not agree with the people I chose for the fifty and two dollar bills, but hear me out. I had a difficult time choosing who I wanted to be on each series (there is one more series that I will post later); however, chose Sean "Puffy" Combs and Sean "Jay-Z" Carter as my "royal subjects." These men have both made notable contributions to the US economy (with their record sales, clothing lines, etc.) and Hip Hop. This was my "Ode to Hip Hop, US Currency Style".

I elected Russell Simmons as the Secretary of the Treasury because he too has made a HUGE contribution to Hip Hop, Urban Fashion Trends and the US economy (again through all the products he has in circulation). Bob Johnson for me was just someone that knows how to make that money! So hey, why not, presto chango he's my Treasurer of the United States.
